Your getting there, just not finished. How about bigger led's and fewer of them. They look crooked. I like where your going with them. Remember, these are version 1

Looks way too busy. Maybe if the "inside" portion was smoked it might look better, but right now it just looks like a sea of LEDs. Cool that they're developing new products for a discontinued car!

Took my idea!
I drew something up like this yrs ago. Bought tails and tire them apart. Then the family grew and tail light mods got replaced with diaper changes.

Thumbs up to you man
