Default What do you use your cupholder for

I had this conversation with another s2000 owner yesterday and we both agreed, it's the worst designed part of the car. Drinks always spilling, the flimsy plastic divider holds maybe a dixie cup sized beverage, and staggered or not, it's always a balancing act to get one cup out without pulling the other one.

Anyway, with that in mind, I figured I'd start a new thread. Maybe for fun, it'll even make the front page.

What do you put in your cupholder? Take a picture if you have one. Or, better yet, take one and post it.

My little disclaimer If it's NSFW or inappropriate, I'm pulling it the pic.

The AP1 cup holder does a decent job of actually holding a cup, but of course the limit is one, lol. Its the perfect size for cans or 20 oz bottles, and even the giant fast food cups will fit in there. That being said, mine is closed 99% of the time because its uncomfortable to drive with a cup in it (or even with it open).

Sunglasses. I almost never use it for drinks and if I have a drink in the car it's a resealable container. I've had to disassemble the center console on both S2Ks that I've owned to clean up the crap left when the POs had spilled a soda (of course) in the center console.

Occasionally I'll have a drink in there but 99% of the time I have my work ID or wallet in there and have it closed while drive. It's too uncomfortable to drive with anything in there.

I keep my nalgene bottle in the little space on the passenger floor near the tunnel...works perfect.

Loose change, trash, misc hardware, etc.

Very rarely actually use it to hold a drink.

It does hold drinks pretty well, but it can be a pain to shift with anything bigger than a 12oz can. I usually only carry a drink if I'm on my way home, with just a few block to go. Mine is closed 99% of the time as well, because I rest my arm across it and it's uncomfortable when open.

Trash, wallet, or phone. I tried to put a bottle in at one point and found I couldn't shift very well with it sticking up in the way.

AP1 = change, receipts and other misc trash
AP2 = Cell phone

Never a drink in either car *ever*

I used to have a 93 Prelude VTEC and that car had no cup holder at all. I think the idea was you should be concentrating on driving, not eating or drinking.
