Default Rolling Coal

There is a now a segment of the car hobby called "rolling coal." People with diesel trucks modify them to belch black sooty smoke on demand and then target people for a smoke screen. Since I already hate SUVs and big trucks, you can imagine what I think of this little enhancement.

What do they actually do to modify these diesel trucks? Some diesel trucks are pretty smokey/smelly to begin with, but whatever they're doing to push out extra particulates as in the video can't be good for their own trucks...

They trick the ECU to dump extra fuel in or they have a switch they flip to dump extra fuel in. Being a diesel it really matters not how much fuel they dump in as it won't really foul anything up like a gas engine(spark plug)

I wonder if the behavior in the video could be considered assault and battery.
They are deliberately damaging the well being of the young lady.

As someone who has a modified diesel truck as my other vehicle I hate these idiots that do this. They fall into the same category as kids with fart cans that rev at anything and try to street race people because they think its the cool thing to do.

I can't tell you how many time some punk has asked me to "roll coal" in my truck.

I witnessed this first hand about 13-14 years ago, I was behind a huge diesel in my beater in highschool , there was a crowd of people standing waiting to cross the street at a stoplight and the guy in front of me "rolled coal" on them, as well as me as I was directly behind him.

Long story short, I am very aware of where I am in relationship to diesel trucks when I am in the s2000
