Thumbs up Polaris Slingshot

The Polaris Slingshot was just released a couple of weeks ago. By making it a 3 wheeler, they get around all the safety regs that makes cars so heavy and complex, and toys like the Atom hard to register in places. It may have a hard time getting into track events. but it sure looks like a fun street toy, and the pricing is very reasonable @ ~$20-24K. What do y'all think?

Firstly, I think this is light years better than 3-wheel Can Am options. It seems to be much more on par with the T-Rex models which are about twice as expensive. Seems like they are really hitting a niche in the market that is untouched. With that said, I think the design is hideous. Albeit, I could let that slide for the uniqueness and fun factor if it fits the bill.

Based on nothing but seeing the T-rex in rap videos as a kid, Id rather have a t-rex.

It looks like a really fun experience - not sure I could justify one over a motorcycle and car though.

If it had 4 wheels I think it would be fun to toy around in.. Not really into the 3 wheel thing.

I have been following it and it looks for sure a lot of fun, for me its either a Slingshot or the new Miata as my next toy, depending on what Mazda has in store for us with the new one.

Looks like a 3 wheel KTM crossbow. Pretty cool, price is right but if it's avoiding safety reqs by running as a motorcycle does that mean I need a motorcycle license?

Makes me wonder why the Caterhams and Lotus 7's are $70K new here in the US, and used $25-30K...
