Hello!

I noticed about two nights ago when driving home from my boyfriend's house what feels like a knocking/tapping on the gas pedal.
I feel it more when I brake a little sudden. It's sometimes feels like something moving? If that makes sense.
I've been skimming posts but can't seem to find anything similar to it.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It's a stock 02 with 160k miles

Have a quick check underneath the dash maybe something is in the way or loose

I checked under and everything seemed fine. Nothing loose or wobbley that could cause the feeling.
It's so weird and it has me paranoid that it's something really bad!
It feels like it's coming from under/behind the pedals from the bottom of the engine?

Maybe check the motor mounts. I know in some cars, when one of the mounts start to go bad --- the linkage on the throttle gets pulled and pushed on accel and decel.

I am with the mounts suggestion. If they are still good at 160k that's impressive. Mine looked good but when I took them off they went in 4 pieces.
