Nova Scotia Owners
#202
I had visions of driving the S to Nova Scotia and circumventing the island, but that plan was dashed when my wife wanted to see the Viking ruins at the northern tip of Newfoundland at L'Anse aux Meadows. So we flew to St John's instead, rented a car (we were lucky to get one!) and spend a week on the road. Newfoundlander are getting a lot of mileage out of a few depressions in the ground and calling it a Viking settlement, but what the hey! We saw about 400,000 Puffins and Razor-billed Auks at Witless Bay, a couple of humpbacked whales, also a minkie (sp?) whale, a fox, three moose, a black bear, lots of yellow warblers, some eider ducks and a few other things. Newfoundland reminded us of the western rugged coasts of Scotland and Ireland and New Zealand. We liked the paint schemes in the harbor villages. We found the people to be very friendly, something we attribute to long winters and a gig economy. Only saw one Miata, no S. Nothing else passed as a sports car.
I kept looking for Fitzee of Fitzee Fabrications (You Tube Channel), but never figured out where he was located.
we did Nova Scotia in 2021. Basically did 10 days leaving from Toronto. We did all the touristy things Peggy’s cove, Perce rock, Cabot trail, Glenora distillery (what a surprise!) and lots of hiking and camping,Truro and drove through Halifax. Can’t forget Gaspe and Quebec was incredible too. Never enough time! Would love to go back. Next time NL is the plan

Just seeing the last two posts today.
It reminds me to make a reservation at the Brae Lock Inn in Cazenovia, New York. Promised to take the wife there about 3 years ago.
