Ok let's discuss the tires and let's compare them to the re11's.
The track I went to is Arizona Motorsports Park.
With the staggered set up and Re11s I managed to run a 1:58.4.
It took me a lot of effort to reach that goal. Every session I would try new lines and push a little harder. I could go no faster then 1:58 and I was getting a little frustrated. All day I was fighting understeer and it was getting quite annoying.

So this past track day I used the new non staggered set up. Everything else on my car remained the same. Same track as well.

17x9.5+40 squared and the Bridgestone Re71r's!
My very first session I clocked a 1:57 on the second lap! I was super excited because I wasn't giving it 100% effort yet. Time to heat things up!!!
These tires warm up fast! I pushed harder about 4 laps in and I clocked a 1:55.7. I was very impressed. I was able to hold grip around the turns and keep my RPM's up and my exit speeds were faster because of that. I was consistently running 1:56 lap times and had a personal best of 1:55.2.
I did a total of 40 laps and you can see the wear in the tires. I'm estimating they will last around 4-5 more track days. They are more like a 140 tread wear rating. All in all, they are a fantastic tire. I was able to gain 3 seconds at the track. Very sticky tire. I noticed they didn't squeal as much as the re11's but you can definetly feel when your at their limit. I've read people say that they are loud. I have to disagree with that. I can hear them if the tire comes in contact with the white lines on the road. Other than that I don't think they are loud at all.
If you are a track junkie I would definetly recommend these tires. Just remember they do seem to wear out pretty fast. If you have questions just ask and I'll do my best to answer them.

So how many of those seconds gained do you think were in the R71 alone? You said you would push a lot so you move to a wider front tire for non stag.

Don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile....

Hey s2000Junky,
That's a very great question because I couldn't specifically answer
A buddy of mine who tracks more than me says he thinks the tire has more to do with it than the width. In my opinion the wider wheel up front and the stickier tires both played a roll in gaining the 3 seconds.

I think the combination of the Re11's and the 225 sized tire up front was really holding me back.
