Will SA2005 not be allowed in 2016?

NASA is allowing it for HPDE. SCCA is allowing it for autocross AFAIK. SCDA should have no issue. No idea of COM or BMW CCA.

and in response to someone asking what prompted the change, he further added - The 2020 SA helmets are slow coming to market.

Most of the CCA's are requiring a 2010 helmet. I am signed up with PCA and they require one. BMW has not posted an official stance but PCA has posted the following.

• HELMET – 2010 or 2015 SNELL rating REQUIRED with SNELL sticker attached. SNELL SA standard strongly recommended. DOT-rated helmets are not acceptable. Please do not arrive with a SNELL 2005 helmet, as you will not be allowed to participate!

Good Bye 2015 track days.......many many great laps, on great tracks, in great cars, creating great memories with great friends.
