Default obd port not getting any power?

So i recently had to get my emissions test done. I was shocked to find out that my 2007 S2000 didn't pass emissions! the culprit? they stated it was because of my OBD port wasn't getting any power to it.

Has anyone had this problem before? I did a search on both here and google and nothing came up that was specific to the S2000

thanks for everyone's input!

Only heard of this once before (on a Porsche). If it was mine I would take it to a local Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. and ask them to check for codes. They will either say no codes or no connectivity. No codes = cockpit error at your shop. No connectivity = some issue to be resolved.

Utah

P.S. In the case of the Porsche it was a big spider that had built a nest in the connector. Report back. The check should be free......

would that work? i'll give it a shot tomorrow after work, I figured it wouldn't throw any codes since the connector isn't getting any power to it.

I've also read it could be a fuse?

The S2000 uses SAE J1962 wire pin out to the data link connector (DLC). This connector is located under the dash on the passenger side and is the emission monitor interface (aka OBD-II interface). Most likely your emission tester incorrectly set up for Honda and not SAE. Doing this results in the failure mode you note with no power to pin 12. My suggestion to get a part store to check would confirm this without a second emission test failure being logged or charged for.

P.S. This connector is located on a main branch harness. It is Fuse 46 located in the Main Under Hood Fuse Box. It is the one next to the battery. But no need to check as this fuse also powers the PGM-FI circuit. If the car runs it is getting fuel and 46 is good.
