Default Setup change to EFR

After some issues with my current setup I have decided to switch to a full race/EFR setup. I have a sleeved 9:1cr, 2.4L motor with ported head that currently makes 550whp on pump fuel. My power goals are the same as now for pump fuel... I will do a race gas calibration as well and will be looking at the 700-750whp range on that fuel.

The Borg EFR 9180 is my choice and was wondering how that turbo responds... Any input is wonderful

BorgWarner has a matchbot application that will show you roughly how the car will work on the map. Based on a estimate it looks like it might be a little laggy up to about 5k. You will probably want the externally gated 1.45 A/R 9180.

Thats one of the things I was wondering about... The 1.05 or the 1.45. Does anyone here have this setup?

There aren't a ton of people on the EFR, let alone the 9180. I have the IWG 7670 and I think someone did the 8374, not sure. There's a bunch of EVO/STI guys that have the 9180 and are making the power you're looking for and I'd be shocked if the S2000 couldn't do similarly.

From what the guy said, the 8374 didnt fit. It was just physically too big. Im sure you can get around it with a cut off wheel

What are the numbers with your 7670? Any issues holding boost?

495whp/402tq on E85 and 397whp/293tq on 91. Boost holds pretty pretty well other than the seemingly typical spike at ~4500.

I'd only run that turbo that small on a stroked motor with a lower rev limit (~7000), otherwise you'd be way overspinning it. Even then the 7163 is would be a better choice.
