That's who I was gonna go for before Adrian flux found ageas to be abit cheaper, didn't have the garage stipulation incase one day you do leave it outside and something happens as red star where really anal about it in their policy wording

Fully Comp Insurance

Last year with Tesco £697..........

Renewal with Tesco £697...........(went to Tesco online with same details gave me £1410 - must be a random number generator).

Privilege Quoted £371 using my company car as a multi-car policy (you don't insure your company vehicle, but they base it on you cannot drive both at once) hence the reduction.

I also asked how much the extra 1 yrs NCB had saved me....but he was unable to answer.

But what he then did was put down 3 yrs NCB instead on the 2 yrs I have...........The difference was an unbelievable £21.

NCB is a complete cloak and dagger routine, complete waste of time if you ask me.

Also NOT ONE insurance company could give me a % saving breakdown of the NCB.......It's as random as British motor insurance itself.

IMHO I only pay insurance because you legally have too.......It's about time the whole big insurance rip off system was completely revamped / revised.

Oh its most definitely screwed up. Just glad I'm moving out of London soon so that I can enjoy the lower premiums and less po po and cameras on every street corner.

EDIt: Riddle me this. Quote with Factory fitted system £640. Quote with Alarm and Immobiliser £580.

Ok, just done a full bank of quotes. Some are a little startling so hold on to your hats.

I'm 30, living in an SE14 postcode, 7 years NCD in use on my main car, 1x SP30 4 weeks ago, Buying a 2003 S2000 GT on Monday with different alloys and air filter. I also want my partner on the policy, she's 35. No accidents or anything like that. SDP only. 5k a year.

Swiftcover - £571.81 - Adding to my exisiting policy with them for a multicar policy. The cheapest of the mass online quote websites. Will also mirror the NCD and after a year I'd have two sets of 8 years.

Now the specialist companies that are great for performance and modified cars.

Sky - £750 because I've not owned it long (or at all in my case) and of the postcode.
Adrian Flux - £2000 They would mirror the NCD but the postcode and not ownining it long were hurting me

And the piece de resistance

Performance Direct - £5000 because they wouldn't mirror the NCD, postcode etc.

Needless to say the decision isn't all that hard.
