Default Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

http://www.gplb.com/

This is MY event! I've been to all 40 Long Beach GPs, all three days of most. This will be 41. We have the best seats in the house: top row Grandstand 29 on the aisle on the Shoreline Drive straight, at the start-finish line, across from the pits. We have Marina Parking right in back of our seats, across the access road from the Corvette Corral -- 150 Vettes. Big Red (see my sig) will be party central for three days. We'll be there at 7 AM each of the three days. I can't wait!

PWC: Record fines, penalties after fiery Long Beach event

Doesn't look like that went so well on Sunday.

hmm...no thread for the race from Barber

I was away at autocross today and just got home in time to catch the last 10 laps. Graham Rahal made some impressive passes. Wish I had recorded the race. In any case I've set up the DVR to get the whole series, so I should be good going forward.

Yeah, Barber might have been the best Indy car race I've seen in years. I'm a big fan of Newgarden.

Let's keep the threads going. I'm sure people will come back to it. Even if not this is Auto Racing Disussion. Let's keep talking about all kinds of racing.

I intend to watch all the street circuit and road course races for IndyCar this season. You have definitely played a role in my desire to start watching IndyCar. So there is a positive impact to what you are doing just the same as AE_Racer for sports cars.

Wouldn't he have been in the points lead had he not run out of gas?

In any case, lots of good racing/passing yesterday. Initially it appeared that the Honda aero kit was inferior to the Chevrolet, but as the announcers mentioned, that kit seems to help preserve rear tires better. Plus, I think Honda teams are still working on tweaking their aero.

I didn't get to watch the whole thing but it sounded like F1 analyst Steve Matchett was one of the announcers yesterday. "get him son, go get'm!!!"
