Default Let's Talk About Brakes

I am going to need to do pads and rotors on my S2K this summer. Who recommends what?

Han I never had to change my brakes on the S2000 but I have always ran a Brembo blank rotor with a Hawk HPS Street pad on all of my civics. Dusting is a bit more but stopping power was great. Look around the forum and see what people suggest.

OEM pads on the s2000 are better than the HPS pads. If you're not track driving, OEM OEM OEM when it comes to brakes. Centric blanks for rotors.

To be even more specific, I believe the ap2 OEM pads have more bite than the ap1 OEM pads. Don't take my word for it, do your research on that one, I think I remember hearing that once though.

I have project mu pads, I believe they are the NS series (were on the car when I bought it) and I love them. I am not sure if the rotor brand but the are slotted and cross drilled, also have stainless lines. My brakes have a great feel and a lot of bite.

I just need to bring my brakes, pads and stainless lines over to the lift and do it all at once!

I bought this thing. http://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-08-...=brake+bleeder

Apparently the check valve works really well as it has just enough cracking pressure needed to not let air back in the lines during a '1 person bleed'. I have yet to use it but some of my racing buddies swear by it. If someone wants to try this out, you're more than welcome to. I'd be curious to see how well it works.
