I'll get it on the ramp and check geo. What do I need to look out for that causes this? If geo is fine will order a new tyre.. Fffssss

These cars respond very poorly to diameter differences in the rear tires left to right. I have run across what you're describing and would recommend as others have, always swap tires out in pairs, especially the rear. I had to swap a single tire in the rear due to a flat and the car was unsettled in all things. Positive and negative acceleration, shifting, and handling were all affected significantly. The car felt very squirrely and to such a degree that I was worried about losing control of the car in even basic A to B travel.

Alright I'll get a tyre ordered up. Thanks for all the input guys. Now all that's left to do is figure out what the damned knocking sound is all about lol

I used to notice mine becoming more 'wriggly' as my F1s wore down, especially as my liking of roundabouts meant that my left rear wore quicker than my right rear. It also meant a slight pull to one side. New pair of tyres and it all went back to normal.

Swapping one tyre is going to have similar consequences to wearing one down more than the other, so not surprised to hear similar symptoms.

If you had geo done with worn tyres and then fit new ones .. the new tyres will take time to wear into the old geo settings. That's the point of this, if you get all new tyres fitted then you at least need to have the geo checked at the same time and adjusted if needed.
