Default Ap2 vs. 04-06 GTO

Real talk! Got to play with the last gen gto today. Keeping it civil, driving next to each other. I get an open lane and rip it, he follows at a distance behind. We get to a redlight. He looks 230-250 and he has a passenger. We finally get to a light. He's not pleased. I asked him if he wants to go from a roll and he says no, wifey in the car. Light turns green he gases it right out the hole, I anticipated and was right behind him. I start catching up from first since I was redlining, shift to second for me was top notch, get a little squirlley but hook hard. By the end of second I'm head to head. My shift into third was impeccable, his not so much. From there I took him by a car or three then I started braking around 93. I was surprised this happened with the big 6.0. It felt great!! Mods are arm intake, milltek exhaust, test pipe, ap1 flywheel

I don't think he was racing you.

Agreed...he was not racing. You're not going to pull on 400hp V8s when you're awake.

search through s2ki, there are a lot of reports of people beating up on GTOs, even the LS2 versions. I did it in my AP1 a few years back. My Ap2 is quite stronger than that car, so I would accept a challenge from one no problem. You can have all the power in the world, but if you don't know how to put it down or maintain your inertia with proper shifts, you can have surprising results

Dang a 6.0 huh? I've raced and beat the 5.7 GTO's. Never thought to pick on the big 6.0l though. Nice kill!

He was racing me, that's a fact. We talked before the green. His car could've been on the high mileage side, weight was a factor in his car. His third gear shift was sloppy. I was the better driver that time, that day. Yes, my ap2 beat a GTO this time around.
