Default Lim's Upholstery still good?

After nine years (!), the top on the S (2006) has developed a small tear in the right rear. Probably took so long because the car has low miles and the roof has not been raised/lowered that much. Looks like it was covered under SB 09-033, so I'm going to investigate possible replacement under the goodwill consideration with the Honda District Service Manager. See what he can do for me. Is Lim's at Tysons still good? That is the most convenient if I decide to do it.

Had Lim's replace the OEM top on my daughter's 2006. I ordered the Robbins Canvas and they provided the labor. Did a good job.

Lim's replaced my soft top on my 05 2 years ago with a Robbins top and they did a great job. They also have a location in Chantilly that I will be taking my DC5 Type-R Recaro seats to for some repairs.

Thanks...good to know. I may just patch it for now. Very small and not worth changing the roof for. So I'll see how that goes. And yes, I saw the group buy after the fact (just the other day). Looks like it was before the problem appeared. Only happened about a week ago. BTW - American Honda nixed any consideration for the roof under the SB from 2009. Said it was too far out of warranty.

Lim's is going to patch it for me while I wait - takes about an hour.

They are booked this week so taking it in next Wed. Will report on how they fix it, since some members have asked.

How much do they charge to install a new soft top?

I ask because S2Ki member Jeremy aka 2POOR2MOD charges $500 for soft top replacement. His work is perfect and very quick between 2-3 hours he also fixes a few other things if you bring it to his attention or he notices something that can be corrected.

Just an idea.
