Default Clutches, what's the difference?

Honda OEM clutch about £400
RPC stage 1 stage 2 or stage 3 are all cheaper, but what's the difference?

I've gone for a Comp Clutch stage 2, it's £360 I think and the boys with the HKS supercharger are using it with favorable views.

What does stage 1, 2 and 3 mean and what do they do? and are they stiffer? I don't want a stiff clutch with the amount of driving in traffic I do

I think it's the amount of torque that the clutch can take before slipping, the higher the stage the more torque it can take, but I'd imagine the trade off is how difficult the clutch is to work.

The one I've gone for is meant to feel nigh on OEM yet handle a fair bit more power. If you are not planning on running a charger then I would think the Honda OEM would be fine. I've gone for a stage 2 as I think I may get a charger in the next few months, but I'm undecided.

The different stages are a way of rating both the strength of the springs in the clutch disc and the clamping pressure of the pressure plate. The friction material on the clutch disc will vary too, but it's not as noticeable as tye heavier clutch pedal caused by the Higher clamping pressure of the uprated pressure plate

Can't beat oem, Ian! I'd stick with that. Hendy do a good deal iirc.

£345 for OEM from Cox Motor Parts or similar from Si at Hendy = no brainer.
