Default Material at edge of roof where it meets the glass

What's the term for the material at the edge of the roof, particularly the horizontal bit where it meets the glass? You have like a roof material, then some sort of seal at the side? I don't mean the rubber bits along the top.

Can they be replaced at all? Is it a pain of a job to do?

Do you have a picture? The seals are all rubber and if leaking they can be resolved with grease.

Here you go. It doesn't leak, it just looks tatty.

There's a cord that runs through the hem at the edge of the roof, unfortunately the hem on yours is split, might need a new roof unless you can get a car upholsterer to replace the hem. My guess is it would cost a bit and you will find other splits coming through soon so bite the bullet and have the roof replaced.

My roof was replaced by Jack in Swansea not too long ago. Should this not have been sorted then?

Yep, looks like a slight fault with the roof. My experience with the chaps there is that, if you have a problem, they're happy to see you right.

How long ago?, that looks rather poor.

TBH it was my mum that noticed it the same day it was fitted, as I dropped in after it was done. It was back in March.
