check you haven't mixed up the heated mirror/rear demister switch and the roof switch, the plugs under the console are interchangeable. Had my centre console off at the weekend, put the car into the garage with roof down, got the car out today, dead roof motor!! As I'd had several sleeps since Sunday, took me a while to remember what I last did with the car...even checked the fuses before it dawned on me! What a tool!!

Interesting - I've had mine off couple of times and always thought all the plugs under there were matched to the switches. Been lucky I guess !

They always have been on my 5 when I've had the console off
Though I can imagine it is possible to accidentally force them in the wrong sockets

No force, honest! Exactly the same size and shape.....but it was getting dark, they are colour coded, one blue and one grey! MY55 btw.
