Yea I know I haven't but some of the guys drilled holes and some use the pre drill holes where the bumper plugs go. Idk if ap1's have pre drill holes for plates.

I bought this but haven't had a chance to install it yet. I have the parts in my trunk and the front plate under the passenger side of the car in hopes that if I get pulled over I can sympathize with the officer that I'm on my way to get it installed and hopefully they won't give me a ticket. I have passed by 2 cops in 2 months of ownership and they haven't done anything so hopefully that continues.

The only time I've had an issue is when parked - the meter maids like to issue tickets for no front plates.

Yup, I got busted by a meter maid in Seattle for no front plate while parked, but have not been pulled over for it while driving.

as much as I'd love for this to happen, it simply never will. there's absolutely no upside for the state to change this. its a source of income from no front plate tickets from meter maids and traffic cops. its a reason for any cop to pull you over and give you a ticket, and possibly find more reasons to give you a ticket.

if the did change it, not only would they lose a source of income, they'd have to spend time and money to change the law.

Generally I agree with you, warmmilk. But your same reasoning could have been applied to liquor distribution before the law changed to get the state out of that business.
