Given that this is going to be my new home for a bit I thought I'd chime in.
Coming from a much more active forum like Southern Ontario, I think one thing that's worked there was a calendar of events that appealed to all age groups / experience levels etc
1. Tech days for basic maint + one thing that everyone has always wanted to do but never done
2. "S2000" Track days every month or so
3. A wine or beer tour depending on the preference of the group. Combination of that and a great driving route made for one of my favorite trips of the year. Obviously drinking responsibly and only sampling was the name of the game
4. The bear mountain drives that you guys already have look awesome but coming from a newbie to this forum perspective I felt like I only saw random threads
My 0.02 I suppose but hopefully this can turn into what you guys feel like it was back in the day

The thing you need is people willing to host and people willing to attend. At this point, I think we need to start small. I tried hosting the cookie party again last winter. Plenty of the "original" group showed up and I think one or two new people. My guess is that new people were nervous or overwhelmed with the idea of jumping in to a group of ten or more people who already know each other pretty well. This time of year it is tough. Can't really meet in a parking lot unless you want to freeze.

I really wonder if it's intimidation. Event's like a tech day or something like that to me are perfect for a bunch of random people to show up to learn something about their cars but hell what do I know.
I'm still searching for a place but if I can find myself a place with a driveway, happy to host it next season.
