Default Digby Double Autocross June 26-28

In an attempt to get more S2000's out to maritime autocross events, i figured i'd post our next event. It's this weekend, and by far my favorite. Two days and a test/tune friday, but you can show up for just a Saturday or just Sunday. Entrance is a ridiculously low 40$ for the weekend, including a meal and a t-shirt. If you've wanted to give it a try I highly recommend this event.

much more info on the atlantic region motorsports forums. http://www.armsinc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=13841

Sounds like a great event! I would have loved to make it out but unfortunately have a couple of commitments this weekend. Do they run more events throughout the summer?

There's plenty until mid october. The regional events are the big ones with more cars, but club level events are still great fun. Next regional events are Aug 1-2 in PEI, followed by Geary/Moncton, NB Sept 19/20 and finally October 4 at Atlantic Motorsport's Park in Shubenacadie. As far as club level stuff, there's even more. Here's a link to ASCC (Halifax-based) event dates http://www.armsinc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=13669

Can you go as a spectator? Didn't see anything on their site for entrance fees for other than drivers.

No entrance fees ever for spectating autocross. just a waiver to sign and free to come and go as you like. if you go to AMP to watch the wheel-to-wheel racing there's some minimal gate fee most the time

If the Digby Ferry wasn't so costly, I would be there.

Yeah it's too bad the ferry is expensive/slow. it's almost perfect for you St John guys. A couple NB showed up though. The event ended up being pretty good, despite the cold/rain on Sunday. Four s2000 drivers out of 50 isn't bad, but the scion FRS drivers outnumber us. Heres my fastest run from saturday. plenty of time to make up, but good enough for 5th behind some pretty competent drivers:

Next big one is Aug 1-2 in PEI! there should be hopefully at least a couple different S2000's showing up to this one. hopefully more. If you haven't autocrossed lately/ever this is another great one to try. It's well organized and a really fun course. I'd be glad to help out any s2000 guys/gals who want to get into it.

Yeah well into 3rd gear on a stock geared AP1. Around 1:24 you can hear the modifry shift beeper, and it was 3rd gear from there. It can be pretty quick, but really good to get the tires up to temperature and really get the car sliding around.
