Default going to look at a S2000 tonight

I'm going to look at a 54 plate GT tonight and I was wondering if there is anyway of checking the suspension to see if it's all OK . When I last has a S2000 8 years ago , everybody had horror stories of £2k bill if they need to have it adjusted , is it still the same???

The only real way to check the geo bolts is to try and get them adjusted, evidence of a previous alignment would be a good start though.

If you get an S2000 specialist to do it £1500. DIY ~£700 depending on what's seized, what you need/want to replace and what tools you buy (and how many demolition blades you get through)

The price it will cost will all depend on how many adjustment points are seized. I paid nowhere near £1500 to get 4 of mine replaced.

I'd say £1500 involves a lot of labour - my dealer didn't quote much more to replace the lower arms with new OEM ones + all new bolts etc

£1500 will be enough to buy a fully pollybush kit / garage labour/ and a geo.

I just had mine all done, came to the tune of:

£400 poly kit
£900 Labout + Geo

I'm not keen on the poly kit as it makes the ride too harsh - I'm hoping for not a lot more I can bet new OEM fitted,...

Mine was about £1500 for replacing all bushes with Powerflex, sorting out bolts, painting arms, fitting control arms (supplied), fitting new suspension (supplied) and a good fast road set up. I was happy with that.

Did mine myself for about £500, but only replaced what was needed with Mugen bushes, so so basically all the ones with adjustment.
and did the geo myself as well following the instructions from Rob.

Well happy with the outcome.
