Default Is the value of an S2K on the rise?

I bought my 2005 Moonrock GT last May for £8000, with about 64k - BC Coilovers, K&N induction, UK Exhaust Mod, red interior....

Now, looking at autotrader even pre-facelifts are going for around that with similar miles! Ones that are around the same age as mine, similar ones (if not more miles) are going 10k+!

Are they going up in value? Or just the right time of year to be selling an S2K?

They are increasing in value, especially if unmolested. There's been much comment on this of late.

I am seriously considering buying a second runaround car (Mazda6 or something) to keep the value going up. Seems like its an investment, mines on 72K at the moment - want to keep it as low as possible and avoid long journeys.etc

Those are asking prices, not selling prices, it would be great if we could see what they sell for. A better indicator would be eBay where you can do an advanced search and see what they actually fetch.

I'm fairly sure if i threw my 04 plate with 99.999k miles on the for sale sites i'd get 7 to 7.5k for it all day long and i'd be happy with that. I am amazed what people seem to be prepared to pay for much molested untidy scrap!

I think a sensible value for my 04 GT with 62k would be £7000 but looking at current prices it would fetch more, I don't think it's worth more but if people are willing to pay it then I'd take it as I'm sure we all would

Really? That's good as they are notoriously bad on pricing.
