Default clutch question

Hey guys, So I recently replaced my OE clutch that was in need of replacing lol with a competition stage 2 clutch. After bleeding the system the clutch would start to engage 1 inch from the floor and now after driving it for a week it engages at the top of the pedal. What causes this to happen?

your clutch master cylinder rod properly adjusted? is the lock nut on the adjustment rod tight?

this is the opposite of what air in the system would do. however if you managed to dislodge a bubble that rose to the top of the system thats possible too.
