Camping in Olympic Forest
Hello to those up North!
We'll be departing Portland this weekend for a week long road trip around the Olympic Forest and the peninsula with no, well maybe one night, hotels. If anyone has any recommendations on incredible spots to camp or see in particular please can you let us know! The car of choice is our Forester so gravel roads and small off-roading are no issues. We're still trying to figure out the camp fire situation and how to camp on reservation land, but if anyone has any tips or hints it'd be much appreciated, particularly for in and around Cape Flattery. We are also taking a small blow up raft so if you know of an island in a lake then
Thanks guys!

Hey there!
The coast is one of the most--if not the most (perhaps weather dependent) beautiful places in our state, yet I am yet to explore many of the scenic spots along the coast despite living here my entire life.
It is one of the first things I think of when the Pacific NW comes to mind.
Campgrounds (be wary of tides if the water can possibly reach the camp site!!)
Kalaloch Campground
Mora Campground (near Rialto Beach)
Hoh Campground (Hoh Rainforest)
Fairholme Campground
Ozette Campground
Cape Disappointment area (further south near Oregon)
Scenic Spots to go/ hike to:
Rialto Beach--Easily Accessible
Hole in the Wall
Second Beach
3rd beach?
Mouth of Hoh River
Ruby Beach (near Kalaloch)
"Beach #4", (near Kalaloch)
Sand Point
Cape Alava--most western pt on contintental 48
Ozette Triangle --9.5 mi round trip
Cape Flattery
Shi Shi Beach
Hoh Rainforest
Sol Duc Falls
Lake Quinalt
Lake Crescent
Hurricane Ridge
Dungeness Spit
Further south--Cape Disappointment
