Pubic lice (also called crab lice or "crabs") are parasitic insects found primarily in the pubic or genital area of humans.
Pubic lice may occasionally be found on other coarse body hair, such as hair on the legs, armpits, mustache, beard, eyebrows, or eyelashes. Lice found on the head are generally head lice, not pubic lice.

There are over 4500 species of crabs and most of them live in the coastal areas of salty, fresh or brackish water (mix of fresh and salty water).

Besides aquatic species, some crabs are semi-terrestrial or terrestrial (they live on the land). They inhabit sandy areas with stones and rocks.

Not only have crab species demonstrated semi terrestrial abilities but have also been shown to have extraterrestrial origins
