First Visit To Tulsa........My Poor Car
I am starting this topic to ask a very simple question. WTF is the deal with the roads in Tulsa? I have lived in NW Arkansas for 11 months, & my wife & I, up until today, had yet to visit Tulsa. So we decided what the heck, lets go for a drive & check out the area. Long story short, I have never in my life seen roads as bad as the ones I drove on today. And I mean the roads are bad by a WIDE margin relative to anything else I've seen. For all of you Tulsa S2Kers, you all deserve some type of award for your ability to tolerate driving on that sh**. But seriously, could I have just been in the wrong area, or have all of the roads been hit by a meteor shower?

The majority of Tulsa roads are bad. It's embarrassing. I don't even drive my S around town if I don't have to, but I feel bad for the beating that my daily takes due to the poor quality of the roads. It's pretty pathetic when one has to plan an indirect route from point A to point B just to avoid crappy roads. I could get to and from work in half the time if it weren't for bumps and potholes.

Oh yeah, the never-ending construction. The city is always trying to fix the roads but it's like they don't know how to do it right or they just pay the lowest bidder to do it and it ends up being worse than it was before their attempted fix. Yale is better now but much of Memorial is still really rough. Hwy 169 is an embarrassment.
