Designed for Golf drivers who may like to catch out filtering 'bikes at the lights
Seriously, the service intervals would drastically drop, if you were to expect some sort of longivity - or if you aren't "playing" too much.

But anyone who got one built after may 2015 (could have been april or march) but after a certain build point VW changed the encryption on the ECU and REVO haven't been able to crack it as of yet. My mate has a 2015 Golf R and its not able to be mapped because of the ECU encryption

I thought the £599 ECU chip for 375 bhp was the best value option.
not that I will be entertaining such, being a lease of course.
An interesting exercise, but throwing 10k+ at a 32k (min) DSG golf is NOT value in my opinion, no matter how fast said Golf becomes.
I would not pay 30k for a Golf either. I *only* paid £23k for my GT100 so anything more for a Golf is just silly.
The monthly rentals on the other hand make it quite attractive but that has always been my view on the car and the only reason it's on my drive.

I think there's enough to worry about for GTD drivers now though, and handing back the car to have software removal for the emissions scandal. I can see business coming back for tuners, to swap back to oem ecu's for the worriers, in case of being found out.
What a mess!

Not sure if you still have a mk5 gt tdi...
I found out today, that vw will honour any kind of rust from beneath the surface i.e wheel arches, behind rear light cluster, sills. Due to the 12 year anti corrosion warranty, it's 100% fixable.
My mk5 tdi has all of the above symptoms for its 151k miles.
Might be worth a thread for others that have them as dailys/ Doris car's.
Kick vw while they're down eh?!
