Default Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation

I just got back from seeing Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation. I really liked it.

After the series lost its way with John Woo's versions, this installation was lots of fun. The action kept us guessing- who is playing who. Who is to be trusted. A really fun movie.

Now, i've always liked Tom Cruise movies and this is no exception. Risky Business was his best...but aaaanyway, i'm off topic.

I give Rogue Nation an 8.5/10.

I never saw a mission impossible besides the 1st one. But I've seen alot of honk Kong movies directed by John Woo with chow Yun fet(a better tomorrow 1&2, hard boiled) Hard to beleive that the mission impossible movies "lost there way" with him . But I never saw them , just hard to beleive .

they were action packed with john woo at the helm- really rather ridiculous, over the top, overly crazy action. it was just too much. toooo much.

I was expecting better, not enough action to keep me engaged, just kept dragging on too long with chitchat. I thought the others were better. I give this a 4/10

I give it a seven, and as for the Bimmers, I did enjoy the motorcycle chase. Good cinematography in that sequence.

I think its the other way around for me, it has lost its way after not being directed by John Woo, too much talking not enough action, the acting was so-so and the plot was Meh... I don't think I will pay to see another MI movie again.

My thoughts mirror superchargedk20. Although Cruise has been in some interesting films none of them are great imho except risky business and Rainman.

no question, RIsky Business is his very best- easily one of my top 10 ever.

"Joel, do you notice something unpleasant? A preponderance of bass, perhaps?"

I have seen many Cruise films, the most memorable is Risky and Rainman. I have not seen the MI films, except the first reboot which was not memorable. Cruise is just ok as an actor, he picks nice films to be in that I enjoy watching, his acting is well....just so so....I get all caught up in his Scientology bias when I hear him speak and see him act, so that's my bias.
