Collectible Vehicle Emissions Exemption

Collectible Vehicle Emissions Exemption
Just like the title states, anybody do this yet for any of their S2000s? There are a series of limited-use questions that need to be certified before one can be exempted from emissions testing. I'm pretty much in line with all of them, wondering where others are at.

What are those restrictions? If it can only be driven say 500-1000 miles a year for example, obviously that’s not going to work for a lot of us. How about tracking the car? I like the idea of being except from taking emissions for this car, but not sure about the other possible restrictions making that feasible. When I hear collector car, I think of it as being registered but not driven but to and from a parking lot maybe, so from an emissions standpoint, that makes total sense.

It varies from carrier to carrier, there's no set mileage restriction across the board.
Typically for a stated value policy, the limits are anywhere from 5K to 10K a year, only driven to "car" events, meaning no daily driving or grocery getting. You also must have a second car available. The constraints I've seen from companies like grundy or hagerty fall into these general terms, at a pretty good savings from traditional carriers.

You fill out the attestation and through the magic of the DOL interwebs, no more emissions test requirement, and your seat bolsters remain intact.

I looked into the insurance piece as well. I forget who I spoke to but they asked if the car goes to a track and it would disqualify the insurance though I guess normal insurance doesn't cover you there either. It was a lot cheaper than normal insurance though. Like $900 for the year. The S2000 is plenty limited enough to qualify for this. I know it works for people in other states as well.
