I can't help you there. I have a CR so hard top only, but I'm sure others will chime in with their "protectant of choice" for the soft top.

Awesome, thank you. BTW, what do you guys recommend to use for the soft top to keep it "soft". I've had my car for two years and never used any product on the soft top. Also, how do you prep the top for anything you spray/apply to it? When I wash the car I never use soap, just water on the top.

That's my plan for next year - I had the car professionally detailed which included their soft top protection but next year I'm going to do it myself.

Make sure you let the latches out to relieve some tension on the top.

I use RaggTop every month, although my car stays in the garage and i'm wildly anal about car care. 303 is nice stuff too and its more easily accessible for me across the border.

I wash my top with regular quality car wash soap. I take the wash mitt, squeeze out the excess foamy, soapy water, gently wipe it over the top. clean the soap off with a moist/wet absorber drying cloth. If you're super nuts, you can use your shop vac with the blower feature to remove all the water from the nooks and crannies.

good luck.

I used raggtop as suggested - worked wonders and the water beading is A+

^ yeah Raggtop is really good. 303 Aerospace is good but it washes off with water, better used on interior vinyl IMO, or you need to re-apply after any rain events.

Thanks guys. I will give Raggtop a try. First need to buy it, and I guess the only option is online.

X3 for ragtop. My soft top is a year old new and still looks brand new and I only condition it once a year. If you apply many light coats as they recommend, the water beading is amazing, and all dirt, bird shit etc essentially just sits on the surface of the top and can be easily wiped off with some water. The only bad thing I can say about it (and it's actually a good thing as well) is the amount of dust that collects is evident as it also just sits on the surface and can be wiped off with a dry microfibre

You can get the raggtop from eshine:

That is where I buy all my detailing products.
Super fast shipping, good pricing, excellent customer service and just in general a great store.
