Default The "wave" (not just an S2000 thing)...

Just a little amusement... It never surprised me that the small cadre of S2000 owners have often waved to each other or thumbs up'd.... But, I have found this behavior also applies to Jeep Wrangler drivers. Imagine my shock. Really caught me off guard. Millions of these suckers on the road and lots of waves.

I know bikers (millions of those too) have the low-handed wave. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.

Are there other large-volume cars where you see this?

I get nods from various car enthusiasts.

I always wave at S2000 owners and 90% of the time they wave back.

Back in the day, Rick had a Jeep (CJ) for a demo. People waved then.

Back in another day, we had a Renault LeCar, people waved then too.

We get the wave when driving the Subie (WRX) too; then of course, we enjoy the from other S2000's as well.

I must say, this surprises me, but I'm glad to hear that these car "fraternities" are there. Pride in your car seems to be a dying dream these days.

British car drivers will typically wave. Even applies to our "new" Mini.

Fellow Focus ST owners share the wave.

The more rare/unique your ride is the more you look to share that enthusiasm with a fellow owner.
The S2000 community excels at this.

Right, Ken. My thought too. But seriously, Jeep Wranglers?

I'm not complaining; just registering my surprise.

By the way, this modern Wrangler is really a piece of shit. I want to like it, but it's just been an endless series of repairs. The latest is exhaust gasket leaking coolant. I mean, I've never seen so many problem in a car this young.

Serves me right for buying an American car. Never again.
