Hi everyone, new Seattle member here.

I'm currently looking at the s2k for my first RWD/manual car. Aiming for a 2003-2005 model, so late AP1 or early AP2 for DBC. Read the DBW for s2k isn't that noticeable though, so may reconsider if the opportunity arises. Only experience I have with DBW was from my sister's Civic 06', which had significant acceleration delays compared to my former 02' civic.

Actually two craigslist ads I'm looking at now:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5285923734.html (04')
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/5250530224.html (06')

I'm going to go take a look at the 04' Wednesday. Seems only downside from the phone conversation is the non-OEM wheels.

Well, hope to get an s2k soon and join you guys for a meetup!

that 04 is really over priced for the mileage.

the dbw cars arent bad and the argument is teh flash ecu can be programmed relatively easily. personally give me three pedals, a cable throttle and 6 gears or give me death. id hunt for an 04/05 if you prefer the 2.2l. there also some more refinements in the ap2's. however this gets into the battle of whats better. ive dragged ap1's before and they are about as equal as you can get. to me it came down to style and options when i bought mine.

Those both seem a little expensive for what you're getting in return. I'd wait a month or two & see if any new ones pop up on C-List. I got tired of looking @ the same ones getting reposted over & over & finally said screw it. I made a "Looking For" post with a description of what I wanted. I wasn't expecting anyone to respond (was actually going to buy a 2009 BMW 328i Coupe the next day), but what do you know, a guy texts me & a week later I am a proud owner of an S2K.

In short, I guess what I am trying to say is, don't rush (unless you see something that you want of course). A lot of the S2K's on Craigslist (NW area) are molested, have rebuilt titles, or have a ton of miles on them. Winter is basically here. Prices will drop. Also, don't forget to check other states around us. Good Luck!

Yep, got one just a few days ago! Or my parents did. It's on the east coast, so haven't seen it personally yet.

stock 04' with ~55k miles:

Not sure when I'll bring it over here. I'm going to get a hardtop, and thinking its best to have it shipped to my parents' place and install it there (garage + extra hands to help). Also considering whether to ship it or drive it myself. Driving would be a fun road trip!
