This is how I got the wheels off my old BMW 3 series after a tyre fitter lost the key. Worth a try for those who cannot source a replacement key.

My cheap-arse locking nuts moulded to the thread and rounded off when I tried to remove them. Eventually had to be welded onto to get them off. I've not used any since and won't again.

Maybe tempting fate, but steeling alloys was a thing of the 80's wasn't it?

It was S2000 AP1-04 headlamps and bumpers, last time I looked.

I use these too, no ugly locking wheel nuts.

Invest in an Irwin bolt removal kit. I personally think this kit should be sold with every s2000, so useful.

Other brands are available

Taper nuts on an OEM wheel? Or are you using some bullnose washers?
