Default Moving from Florida to Oregon

Hello!

I wanted to get the inside scoop on the driving conditions during the winter. Is it suitable for an '05 s2000 as a DD? I currently have Continental DW with only 5k miles on it. Or should I hold off and just bring my '07 Acura TL-S with DWS with 20k miles (I know it's better handling when it snows). I don't drive hard or spirited most of the time, but I can. My CR still has the original pads at 50% through 34k miles. And I'm trying to hold off from buying a hardtop for the '05.

I'm back in forth on this because I was in Oregon this past weekend when it was just raining all the time (similar to Florida, but cold) and all I could think about is how much more comfortable I feel in my S in the rain versus any other car (my CR REALLY spoiled me in wet conditions). If I could, I'd like to bring only my '05 to save me the time/money.

I'm not familiar with the duration or severity of the cold/snow during the winter and would like the community's input. Any advice would help.

Thanks everyone!

Generally shows about twice a year here in the PNW in the lowlands. Portland area can get ice sometimes if there is a lot of cold air coming down the gorge. So you'd probably be OK with the S2000 if snow is the primary concern.

jesus....i spend some time in eugene. in-laws

i seldom see s2k's there. snow is about as regular as seattle...1-2inches every other year i think with the occasional "snowmageddon" every 5th year.

roads are decent, town is ok. i cant stand U of O fans.

heres a joke that adequately describes U of O fans..."Whats one similarity between an OSU fan and a U of O fan?" Answer: neither went to the u of o.

EDIT: so you have an 05, AND a CR AAAANNNNNDDDDD a TL? and you cant figure out which one to bring? the TL. FFS. you are moving. youll need the cargo space and appreciate the actual roof in ultra rainy oregon
