Track Days 2016

The calculator is nice but unless you understand all the parameters then it becomes a guessing game. The sway bar on the S2000 is also a very important component, and our cars perform best with a bigger bar (adjustable is best).
That is why I spent some serious money on dampers and sway bar, then let the pros set the valving and spring rates based on my car and style of driving.
HOME - ANZE Suspension
Each time I have an oil changed or a valving change, each damper is put on a special dyno and is checked for resistance.
I also get a printout showing me the exact dampening curve (both compression and rebound).
Yes - it is costly but so is track time so I bite the bullet and spend the money up front so that I can get the very most out of my track days.
Makes for a much more enjoyable experience during each event.
Just my 2 cents.

But seat of the pants is also a good indicator, if you revisit a track and find you are cranking down the adjusters to help compensate for an ill handling car then you are probably due.
Many times the seals begin to leak, so the oil maybe still good but you are loosing oil and nitrogen pressure so you are forced to tear them down.
I just found this article on sway bars.

Interesting article on spring rates. I think you guys will like reading this.

I installed them on my car. Took probably 2 hours (I move slow). Very easy install. Great product. I'm 6'1" and 235 so this was a game changer for me. Prior to installation my helmet hit the top when it was up and I didnt have enough room to heel toe with my fat thighs. Both problems were solved with the lowest seat rails. Best mod my car has.
