Welcome, from another recent S2000 owner and long-term Porsche enthusiast.

Hope to meet up sometime, and swap stories.

I wonder what draws Porsche enthusiasts towards the S2000?

Is it a penchant for heading backwards through the scenery?

rwd and an engine with bags of character,I loved my time restoring and owning early Porsche's but I got really fed up with dealing with rust upon top of rust

What MrPerkles says below, especially the early (air/oil cooled) models before they started getting more powerful, rather portly and gaining weight, with the addition of a menagerie of electronics to kerb all that power.

Really enjoyed my time with the RS and Club Sport models.

For me character, quirkiness and being fun to drive are "must haves"..........speed/pace and/or big HP means nothing.

Never restored one, but thankfully the ones I owned were from the late 80's and 90's, so were protected well enough to withstand use.
