Well it seems if you have a VW that cheats emission tests you are NOT going to get any compensation, despite Americans are getting it and even domestic German customers.
But UK customers are to get nothing.
Time for a class action to be taken to Brussels, VW claim there is no law in the UK that compels them to give compensation to UK customers, sod laws what about honor? And what about the sale of goods act? or trades descriptions?
Not to mention why the feck are we in the United states of Germany anyway!!!!

What do VW owners want compensation for, exactly?

They're to get compensation in NL as well, for the loss of power after updating the software and reduced value of the car, or something...

Reduced value.

VW sales (new and used) have dropped through the floor and despite CAP saying "no effect" there cleary has been (i've seen it first hand)

I hope VW get both barrels from the yanks, the way they've handled this has been shyte.

I doubt anyone with bother with their "recall". Knobs

If you were considering buying a second hand VW diesel, would you do so now?

Ego resale value has been devalued, suitable case for compensation.

Being told you would get X MPG for Y emissions and it was a lie, and the "software fix" still won't give you X or Y suitable case for compensation.

You were just plain lied too, suitable case for compensation.

Unless of course you want to keep the car and don't mind being made a fool of.

If you bought a diesel VW your life had already taken a turn for the worse, I'd argue. Best not to worry about it

I assume all those wanting to sue will be paying the extra car tax they owe first...

or directing the bill to VW

I get spat at in the streets now for driving a veedub...

if I had an affected car, i would be expecting some form of compensation... they didn't really get the car (performance) they were sold.

People are so mature, aren't they?

They used to kick Dachshunds in WW1 too.

Bet VW-driving Moslems are having a fun time...
