Does air con gas have an aroma ? R134a hazard sheet is quite a read http://www.harpintl.com/downloads/pd...-r134a-clp.pdf "High exposures may cause an abnormal heart rhythm and prove suddenly fatal. Very high atmospheric concentrations may cause anaesthetic effects and asphyxiation."

Mold or fungus on the aircon unit can give quite bad reactions health wise

Hopefully not that common but please share whatever gets found, you'd think it would be more of a "thing" on the internet if cars were causing near blackouts and heart palpitations. I suspect with such a small cabin the effects of anything in the air are more noticeable. Did you have the screen demist or air recirculate activated ?

The obvious thing to do is to check for exhaust leaks. CO disperses quickly so your unlikely to measure it after the event in the car and a domestic CO detector won't respond quickly enough.

Pollen filter check and or clean as above ... and then ( as per Dave ) get the AC cleaned out - you can get sprays to do this. You really don't want the bugs and germs that can live in there. As good a place as any to start and you can check the pollen filter yourself.

I wouldnt think the aircon would be working on hot?
If its not CO, which i doubt as you would be ill, it could be CO2.
Maybe your Nitrous is leaking?

Either way i wouldnt be driving that car until sorted

Be interesting to see if Honda find anything. Kudos on introducing a passenger to a suspected potentially lethal dose of fumes, glad it didn't overcome her

I wonder if anything is melting. Maybe some kind of electrical problem or melting plastic/rubber. but you'd probably smell that. hmmm.

hehe, it just sounds like the start of an episode of casualty "hey come and check out this gas leak" *cuts to scene of everyone laying in front of the oven*

Good luck
