Megan racing engine and transmission mounts

Megan racing engine and transmission mounts
Evening all.
Just after a bit of feedback on the above.
Think my mounts are on the blink, getting a bit of clunking when lifting off from the front. Given the mounts are 130k miles and 15years old they're probably passed their best!
Can't find a massive amount about them, naturally I don't want a bone rattling car.
Any help is appreciated
Regards
Tom

Can't comment on the Megan racing.
But we sell a lot of the Spoon Engine / Transmission Mount Kits. http://www.burnmotorsport.com/produc...0-ap1-010.html
They come with a reinforced transmission mount bar.
We have them in stock and you can use the Forum Discount code L0!F0RUM! at checkout.

Having read a few reports of unpleasantness from after market "uprated" engine mounts, I replaced mine with some OEM items imported from the US. They were inexpensive and, as we know, plenty good enough.

I have had the megan and the vibra technics and the vibra technics are far superior for someone who drives the car alot.
Only issue i had with the vibra technics is that they took abit more time to fit as they have no locating dowel so there is the risk you could rotate the mount when you bolt it up and put it under preload which would probably shorten its life. Its nothing major thou and with abit of time you can line it up spot on and they are problem free.
The megans will make alot of extra noise come into the cabin. You get used to it but since i stopped doing trackdays i wanted to get some mounts that were softer and the vibra ones do a great job and are well engineered.

I also have the Megan racing engine mounts, as mentioned they create noticeable vibrations in the cabin and a noticeable noise increase into the cabin. I much prefer these over OEM mounts, paired with firmer diff mounts the car is transformed (for the better). In an odd way you can feel the power being delivered to the wheels, car feels more controllable when on the throttle. Just my experience though..
