H&P Immobiliser issue (yet another)
I drove my S2000 to work this morning, no problems at all, tried to lock the car with the remote and got nothing. My keyboard had been playing up recently, so I assumed it was that, so locked the car with the key. On returning to my car tonight, the remote still does nothing, but also the flashing red light isn't flashing, I get no turn over on pressing the starter button. I currently have no way of getting home, or back to work tomorrow morning. Any suggestions?
My car is a 2002 with an (already replaced once) H&P alarm.

Same happened to me, what worked for me was.. Gain access to the alarm circuit board, and harshly flick/ tap the solenoids inside. one of mine was jammed and wouldn't de-immobilize the car. I heard a noticeable click after doing so, tried starting and it worked.
Worth a shot I guess?

You need a new battery for the remote.
This happened to me in December.
I had been out for a hoon and was driving home and came across the Honda garage. Knowing that occasionally my remote would require quite a few button presses before anything happened, I thought I would buy a battery from the parts department.
The Honda chap found me a battery but had no change for my £10 note. I said I'd go and get my lunch and bring change back.
Parked outside Tesco and couldn't lock the car with it. Got my sandwich, got in the car and couldn't start it. Walked the mile back to the dealer, got the battery, put the new battery in, went back to the car and it started up.

If only it was the remote battery, sadly that wouldn't explain the lack of flashing red light on the centre console. I did change the battery earlier hoping it was that.
Forgot to mention that the alarm didn't even attempt to go off after trying to start the car like it has done when the remote battery has died in the past.
