Anyone near St. Neots?
Hi there, new to the forum and looking for y first foray into S2000 ownership.
There is a "cheap" 100k mile car at Buckden Cars in St. Neots near Cambridge that looks interesting and fits the bill for me (early model, room for modification/restoration). Is there anyone on the forums that could possibly take a look at it and pass their more experienced eye over the car? Living down in Essex, I am hoping for a kind member to give their thoughts or save me a weekend trip to look at it.
Thanks!

Best I can offer is a look first weekend in March as I will be in Bedford then, just down the road from St Neots.
But as with many things, if you are serious about buying it, be worth seeing for yourself.

OP - sorry to be blunt but are you serious in your request and your interest to buy a car? Your place in Essex to St Neots is how far???? 86 miles if Southend. 61 miles if Chelmsford
Get there yourself and make your own mind up if it is what you want.
PS I travelled from Northumberland to Harlow, Essex last year to view and then buy a car because it fitted the bill of what I wanted.

What happens if a member inspects the car on your behalf, you buy it and there's a subsequent problem?
Pay for a professional inspection from an organisation with some form of indemnity if there turns out to be something wrong with the car.

It goes without saying that I would go and make my own mind up. It was just a question to see if it's even worth travelling to take a look, that was all. Wasn't looking for a legally binding or detailed check, just more experienced eyes who know specific things to look for on an S2000 if they happened to be local.
Thanks for the comments, and the offer for March, but I will likely get some time in a couple of weeks to drive around and take a look at some cars.
I'll also keep an eye out for cars for sale on here.
