Thinking about sellng my S2000 again now...
Few years ago I put it for sale and had a buyer lined up who was willing to pay $20k cash, car is 2006 and had about 50k miles on it then. I wanted Cayman S but none were available in New England at that time (years and miles I wanted + manual) so I canceled the deal.... I had my S2k since 2011 and maybe getting a bit old I am now looking at 2010-2012 Lexus ISF or maybe IS350 F-sport (which is at least $10k cheaper then ISF) What do you think ? For some reason, probably reason is reliability, I dont want German car anymore (had A4, M3, 335i). And was thinikng about selling my S2k for $17000....$16990 to make it more atractive , it now has 76k miles on it....maybe $17 is too cheap lol ))
PS. Just bought my wife 2010 IS350 (all options).....really like it myself, not ISF V8, but really nice engine. Magazines say this Lexus engine is as good as legendary BMW i6s

Where are you located? You could sell that thing in a day here for $17,000, start higher..like $18,500-$19,000. Beautiful looking car, hope you don't regret the sale too much going to a Lexus sedan. By saying you'll only get $17,000 for it that means it depreciated $3,000 over 26k miles..I don't think so, not your car if it is still just as nice mechanically and cosmetically, and if anything they've gone up in value a bit over the last six years so keep that in mind as well with your sale. I say start at $19,000 if you truly wish to sell it. If you don't need the money and have a good friend who really wants it then maybe go ahead and get rid of it for $17,000..but you'd probably be looking at an RCF if you didn't think twice about money so why not go after what it is truly worth. $1,500-$2,000 is a lot of money to me at least.

ps. you might be right on the price....nothing decent in 500 mile radius below 18-19k

I feel like its better to have a well cared for is350 then some beat up ISF that many dealers just detail in order for it to look presentable. I could be wrong, a beat up ISF can still serve good

I agree, so get the 350 or hold out for the right ISF. Don't settle for one that can't sell, there is probably something wrong with it. Either get an ISF that is truly the right one for you, or get a 350. But sounds like you prefer the ISF, so i'd, again, not compromise and get what you want.

I listed mine last night on Craigslist for shits and giggles. $15,500 FIRM. 2004 SSM with 71K miles, clean title never wrecked but the body has a bunch of scratches and dings, so I adjusted price for that. Had two people interested within 8 hours of a late night post, had one of them show up today and is 90% sure.
The reality is simple - a lot of these cars get ragged out and wrecked. High miles, crappy mods and salvage/rebuilt titles are the norm. I agree with above - list high at like 19K. Set your "Ill accept" price beforehand and go from there.
In talking to the guy tonight, he has had 4 dealers fall through or get bought out from under him in the last 2 months. They're not as easy to find nice ones as it used to be.
