Cut open Exhaust? - Resonator

Thanks for the info guys.
PLEB, have you cut one open and know this details?
AcidS2000, im quite a bit south of you in Bidford-on-Avon, south of Birmingham, but from the other info posted, seems its just a hollow tube.
Thanks for the link Andy L, a very interesting link in there as I have also read and looked into it and seems the resonators needs to be quite long. From this link, seems a shorter "OEM" style will be OK.
Might do what someone suggested and make it a sleeved resonator so I can tune and adjust a bit.
Just thought I could also have a new test pipe made up and put the resonator in that. Any reason it would not work as the OEM, just in a more forward position?
