I-vtec. Do you?

I'm looking at picking up another s2000 with the intention of turbo'ing it with some sort of BW EFR setup. I'm searching in vain for a thread that might covering the pros/cons of various years in relation to boost. Is it really worth it to hold out for an 06+ for Flashpro support, or are earlier years still well supported? An 06 car is stretching the budget of what I'd like to pay for the car so I'm wondering if it's really worth it over an 03/04, or if there are any particular years I should avoid.

You really don't want an 06+ car due to the return less fuel system. That fuel system will not support the big power of a Borg Warner efr setup. You want a pre 06 s2000 with the return fuel system. And run an aem ems with a flex fuel setup and tune.

Nope, though my build will likely include some high-flow cats as my last build didn't and my car smelled like shit, as well as feeling like a guilty dickhead for dumping all of that crap in the air.

OK, because that would be really the only reason to get 06+. It's much easier to get past emissions with Flash Pro or AEM Series 2 which is a dual ecu. Otherwise between the returnless fuel system and DBW 06+ blows for FI. Plus if you wanted to get the AEM Infinity, the only readily available PnP harness is 00-05.

Interesting, I thought 06+ would have been the best, but I'm jaded coming from an 07 civic si where it was flashpro or bust. Thanks for the info
