Looking for upcoming NE meets
Hey all,
I picked up my S2000 in October so I wasn't able to get a ton of driving in before I put it into storage. I was just wondering if there is anything cooking once the snow is gone. I'd like to start meeting up with like minded people for cruising and good times.
Thanks

Same here, I bought mine mid summer and I've only been in the Northeast for a couple years so I'm looking for some people to get up with. I hit almost every 'scenic byway' in western mass but it would have been more enjoyable with others. Let me know!

I mostly hang out in Upstate, but for you folks in western Mass:
On Friday, April 8th, a few of us (I think at least three plan to sign up) will be doing a track day at Lime Rock Park with NASA-NE. Lime Rock is maybe 30 or 40 minutes south of Great Barrington, maybe 2 hours from Springfield.
On the assumption that you wouldn't want to do a track day, you might consider that during the lunch hour they have what is called a Hyperdrive for $50.00. Gets you on track for at least 20 minutes in a supervised lead follow scenario. Might be worth a shot registering and coming down.
Another option for that day is to sign up for the skid pad and learn a little about car control.
Anyway, between runs, we'll be in the paddock. To get into the track, you only need to sign a waiver of liability. If you like cars, just coming to the track can be fun.

For those of you in western mass there is a carsn'coffee on the second Sunday of every month from May through October. It is held at Kringle candle in Bernadston Mass. Usually a great variety of cars.

Check out the Upstate NY Track Days 2016 thread. In post 1 is a schedule for S2000 friendly events with links to web sites. I believe there will be several S drivers at Palmer with NASA in latish July. Palmer is near Springfield Mass. Thompson is on the RI border in CT. And I think there may be a few events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
