Whats up with the Ridge and Pacific Raceways costing wayyyy more than any open track day in California? Your first track day costs close to $600 in Washington (including mandatory driver class), and California it is about $175 (including driver class). Whats up with that?

OMFG! This place is going to make me bankrupt!!!!! I had paid 300$ for an entire first weekend for ProAuto. And here I saw that most events are happening on Friday. Do people not work here or what?!

The popular Turn2 Ridge lapping day is $300. Not the cheapest, but not $600 either. I have never utilized, but I seem to recall free ride along instruction if requested at sign up. I found that the group pre lapping morning track walk with instructor was quite valuable and all that was needed for me to feel comfortable attacking the course my first time out. Typically this happens about 7:30am, takes about 30-40min. Then sign up and driver meeting. Lapping starts at 9am. Free lunch provided mid day. 8-10 sessions typical as well as a bonus open lapping session for all run groups at end of day if you still have it in you. Its a well run event. Track is technical and fast, and only about 5 years old now, making the surface in great condition. A good part of the track has some nice run off areas as well. But general policy there is one spin overlooked, 2 spins and you may have an early day.

Last time I went to the ridge saw an s2000 crew. Anybody from here? 5-6 S2000's. Most of em were running hardtops. I remember one white s2000 in particular was running a am-s rep body kit. All of were young 18-23 years old. Anybody around here running a am-s rep wide body kit? would love to see it in person how it looks.
This was last Saturday(3-5-16)

Let's go out to the ridge together this summer so you can see a real track with elevation change. Then you can join me in rubbing it in to the AZ crew that Firebird/Wild Horse is just a giant go-kart track.

2 spins per session? x 4 sessions per day? So you're spinning out 8 times a day? I wouldn't want to be on the track with you either!
They don't care if you happen to drift a corner a little or step it out, but they don't want to see 180/360 degree spins or going full offroad. That means you're driving past your abilities and you're not being a predictable driver for everyone else on the track with you.
