Hey man, good luck bro.. just a FYI, your story is on the370z.com too (off topic section of the forum)... we're a huge community too! I got a 370z and a s2k, and I fricken love both cars! We're pulling for you man!

Former S2K owner (but current S2K lover), signing back on after a long hiatus to express support for Lon. Felt your pain reading this, and this is no way to enjoy a new S2000 - I hope you don't let this dampen your enjoyment of this wonderful car too much.
On the bright side - I hope this scumbag gets nailed to the wall and is never able to scam another fellow enthusiast (or anyone else for that matter) ever again.

When I met him he claimed to be the OWNER but after further digging I believe he was just the manager.

I don't believe there are words in the english language for me to articulate how much gratitude I have for ALL the people and ALL the car communities involved!

I can't talk much about the matter openly as per my lawyer but I am now in talks with the Seller about resolving the issue.

Just reach out to his lical authorities with pics of the ad. And im sure you can get a copy of the cashiers check. If its close in price to what he was asking then its only assumed you bought the car with mods. So he should cough them up or pay the difference
