Oil Leak from Spark Plug Cover

Oil Leak from Spark Plug Cover
Hey everyone,
I seem to have some oil leaking from the top of the engine at the spark plug cover. Does anyone know what's going on or if this is normal? I've attached a picture of the oil stain, thanks in advance!

I'm going to guess that oil got under it during a fill/top-off. I can't see any other way a larger amount of oil would get under the spark plug cover. Bad spark plug tube seals typically leak down into the tube and do not leak out of the top.
Pretty easy to remove it and get a better look.

You'd eventually get a misfire if your seal was bad.

oil stains aren't "normal" and most have a reason for being there from problematic (leaking) to simple drip.
Remove the "Honda VTEC" gold coloured plug/coil pack cover and look to see if there is a trail of oil stain. Looks like a wayward oil drip from an oil fill, though without knowing more.
NOTE- do not overtorque the hex bolts that hold down the cover when replacing them- just barely more than hand tight.
good luck

Looks like drops from oil stick, when checking level.

Awesome, thank you for the suggestions everyone. I wiped up the stain mark and we'll see if it leaks again. Hopefully, it was oil that dripped off the dipstick like windhund suggested. If I find another leak stain, I'll just take off the spark plug cover and get back to this post. Thanks again!
